Privacy Statement

General Data Protection Regulation is a new law.

This law protects your personal information.

Saint John of God Community Services has personal information about you.

We keep this information to support you and keep you safe.

The information we have includes:

Your name

Your address

Your date of birth

Your gender

Your phone number

Your medical information

Information that helps us to support your social and medical needs.

Information about your money if you need support to manage your money.

Information to keep you safe.

We might have photos or videos of you to share on social media or in newsletters but only if you want us to.

The information we have may be

photos.

The HSE tells us to keep information about you.

This is a law.

We will not keep your information for longer than we need.

The information we keep about you belongs to you.

You have rights about how we take care of your information.

We have to tell you what information we have about you.

We have to keep your information safe and private.

You have the right to ask us what information we have about you.

You have the right to ask us how long we will keep the information for.

You have the right to see the information that we have about you.

We have to make sure that your information is correct.

You can ask us to fix the information if it is not correct.

You have the right to ask us to stop using your information.

The Data Protection Commission will decide if we need to stop.

Sometimes we share your information with other people, for example:

Doctors

Your family

Other people who work with you.

Sometimes we share your information with other people because it is the law.

Sometimes we need to share your information with other people in order to run our service.

Sometimes we need your consent to keep or share your information.

Consent means giving permission.

If you give us permission, you can change your mind later.

We keep your information in Ireland.

If we need to send it to another country we need to tell you first.

You can ask for your information by speaking to someone

or

You can ask for your information in writing.

We have to show you the information within 30 days.

If we need more time to show you the information, we will let you know.
